Non-axiomatic Reasoning System (version 2.2)
نویسنده
چکیده
Non-Axiomatic Reasoning System (NARS) is an intelligent reasoning system, where intelligence means working and adapting with insu cient knowledge and resources. NARS uses a new form of term logic, or an extended syllogism, in which several types of uncertainties can be represented and processed, and in which deduction, induction, abduction, and revision are carried out in a uni ed format. The system works in an asynchronously parallel way. The memory of the system is dynamically organized, and can also be interpreted as a network. After present the major components of the system, its implementation is brie y described. An example is used to show how the system works. The limitations of the system are also discussed.

Non-Axiomatic Reasoning System (Version 4.1)
NARS (Non-Axiomatic Reasoning System) is an intelligent reasoning system. It answers questions according to the knowledge originally provided by its user. What makes it different from conventional reasoning systems is its ability to learn from its experience and to work with insufficient knowledge and resources. The NARS 4.1 demo is a Java applet. It comes with help information and simple examp...
متن کاملIMPS: System Description
Support for the Axiomatic Method. imps supports the “little theories” version of the axiomatic method, as opposed to the “big theory” version. In the big theory approach, all reasoning is carried out within one theory—usually some highly expressive theory, such as the Zermelo-Fraenkel set theory. In the little theories approach, reasoning is distributed over a network of theories. Results are t...
متن کاملThe OpenNARS Implementation of the Non-Axiomatic Reasoning System
This paper describes the implementation of a Non-Axiomatic Reasoning System (NARS), a unified AGI system which works under the assumption of insufficient knowledge and resources (AIKR). The system’s architecture, memory structure, inference engine, and control mechanism are described in detail.
متن کاملFrom inheritance relation to nonaxiomatic logic
Non-Axiomatic Reasoning System is an adaptive system that works with insu cient knowledge and resources. At the beginning of the paper, three binary term logics are de ned. The rst is based only on an inheritance relation. The second and the third suggest a novel way to process extension and intension, and they also have interesting relations with Aristotle's syllogistic logic. Based on the thr...
متن کاملAxiomatization of Credulous Reasoning in Rational Default Logic
Nonmonotonic reasoning is succesfully formalized by the class of default logics. In this paper we introduce an axiomatic system for credulous reasoning in rational default logic. Based on classical sequent calculus and anti-sequent calculus, an abstract characterization of credulous nonmonotonic default inference in this variant of default logic is presented.
